Sharp To Stop Manufacturing TV’s in North and South America

Electronics giants Sharp have announced that they will stop manufacturing televisions in North and South America due to market competition.

“In recent years, Sharp has not been able to fully adapt to the intensifying market competition, which led to significantly lower profits compared to initial projections for the previous fiscal year, and has been suffering from poor earnings performance.”

They will now join forces with Chinese company Hisense and sell TV’s in the American regions. The deal is apparently worth over $23 million dollars and makes much more sense, seeing as Sharp have struggled in terms of profit in the TV market.
